The website hosting server at a different location was taken over by a malicious intruder. The Thunderbird Registry, The Continental Mark II
Registry and The Lincoln Registry website structures were affected and are not able to be presented at this time. Those three websites
contain information of 200,000 cars. The data itself is fully intact, housed at 3 backup stations in 3 different geographical locations. There is
no loss of that information, as well as over 250,000 images.
While there is no shortage of other hosting services, the databases of those 3 registries rely on a precise server configuration to perform. At
this point in time there are options which are under consideration, but no decision has been made.
The implementation and maintenance of these 3 websites is done by a staff of 1. Over the last 22 years I have come to understand how
much they mean to individuals, businesses, and law enforcement agencies, and that has been the source of inspiration and satisfaction for
me. I am not abandoning the projects, however it will take some considerable time and technical assistance for the website databases to be
functional to the public. The data is not compromised or lost, the only fatality was the website server which is not under my control.
When there is more information to share, this page will be updated.
